The Management Development Network is a network of experienced and established freelance management trainers and consultants in the UK who work primarily with charities and other voluntary organisations. The Directory of its members is an indispensable resource for anyone who arranges management or governance training for their own or other organisations, or who is involved in commissioning management consultancy or facilitation for their organisation.

• councils for voluntary service, rural community councils and other local development agencies;
• national, regional and local umbrella and support organisations for voluntary organisations involved in particular types of work;
• local authorities, government departments, charitable trusts and other funders which provide support to organisations they fund;
• other voluntary, public and commercial sector bodies which provide support for people involved in voluntary organisations;
• colleges and universities running courses on voluntary sector management, governance and organisational development;
• chief executives, managers and training organisers in voluntary organisations.

Much of the information in the Directory is available on this website: the list of MDN members, with regional, management specialism and sector specialism indexes, advice on choosing a consultant or trainer, and a bibliography of voluntary sector governance and management books by MDN members. But the Directory includes, in addition, a full page of information about each MDN member, with details of their experience, specialisms and background.

The Directory is in a sturdy ring binder and is updated regularly. It costs £17.50 including postage and packing. The purchase price includes two updates; thereafter a small charge is made to cover printing and postage.
