Eligibility for membership
__  I confirm that I am independent of the organisations for which I work.
__  I confirm that I work primarily on a freelance/self-employed basis, or as a director of my own limited company, a senior partner in a partnership, or a member of a co-operative.
__  I confirm that the focus of my work is primarily on management, governance and organisational development.
__  I confirm that I work exclusively or primarily with voluntary organisations (charities and other organisations whose governing document requires all surplus/profits to be used for the purposes of the organisation, rather than being distributed to members or others).
__  I confirm I have met all four of the above criteria for at least the past two years.

__   I enclose documentation illustrating the type of work I do and how long I have been doing it (my publicity material, CV, and/or other relevant information)

Please ensure your publicity, CV and/or website provide us with details of how long you have been freelance, the general nature of your consultancy/training, any specialisms, and the client group(s) with which you work. If necessary please provide additional information separately.

MDN uses its membership list to send newsletters and other relevant information to members. We do not give out our mailing list to other bodies, but members' names, contact details and other information provided by members is published on the MDN website, which means it is available even in countries which may not have adequate data protection legislation. Email addresses are entered on the website using a program that eliminates or at least reduces the risk of spamming.
